More than six decades ago, the Sarkisian family began a small metal plating and restoration business in Chicago, repairing cherished bronze, silver, and gold pieces. Their dedication to craftsmanship eventually led them west to Pasadena, CA, where they opened Normandy Metal Refinishers. By the late 1980s, Scott Sarkisian carried that legacy to Costa Mesa, founding a second location that would evolve into New York Hardware. What started with a single cabinet of knobs quickly grew into a full showroom, and with the help of longtime friend and co-owner Dave “The Hardware Guy,” the business became the destination it is today.

At our Costa Mesa showroom, we have thousands of cabinet knobs, door handles and plumbing fixtures on display so you can experience the quality we strive to curate. We have the kind of service only a family can offer. We will be able to answer any questions you may have; from explaining how the different type of metal finishes are made, to how to install door knobs and hinges.
New York Hardware is comprised of a small team of highly trained experts dedicated to helping you move beyond the production builder grade knobs, handles and faucets you would find in big box hardware stores. We will find you the best handmade and made-to-order hardware from around the world – hand stitched leather knobs from England, square-cut brass hinges from Italy, and caste bronze door handles from Idaho, to name a few.
You will find New York Hardware as it is now: your one-stop shop for high-end knobs, handles and other decorative fixtures.
